Job description

A leading hotel group isrecruiting foran experienced Restaurant Manager to join our hospitality team in one of their 5-star hotels. This role is integral to the dining operations, where the successful candidatewill work closely with the Executive Team to deliver exceptional service and memorable dining experiences for guests, oversee daily restaurant operations, manage staff performance, andensure top-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise and mentor front-of-house staff, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and service standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to implement and maintain restaurant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage inventory levels and optimize workflow for peak efficiency.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining restaurant revenue, profitability, and quality goals.
  • Ensure all operational manuals, SOPs, and logs are kept current and implemented.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
  • Professional-level proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, understanding).
  • Computer literacy with a minimum of level 2 experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Accommodation Certificate or Hotel School diploma (advantageous).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 4/5-star hotel.
  • Familiarity with all duties and procedures in a restaurant environment.
