Duties

• Managing factory employees (approx. 30+ staff)
• Overseeing all aspects of signage production from inception to completion
• Production planning in each department and ensuring adequate scheduling of work/hours/staff
• Monitoring and managing time and motion of factory employees
• Ensuring every job is completed on time and in full with all quality standards met
• Ensuring production equipment is working and maintained regularly
• Ensuring standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times and/or developing new SOPs if and when required
• Ensuring all staff is trained and organising training if and when required
• Ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are met and in line with South African legislation
• Regularly presenting feedback to management on all issues related to production manager's role
• Ensuring there is responsible waste control
• Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
• Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
• Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
