Role Description

This is a contract role for an Occupational Hygienist, based on-site in Limpopo Province, South Africa. The Occupational Hygienist will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating workplace environments, identifying potential occupational hazards, and implementing corrective measures to ensure compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include conducting occupational health exposure risk assessments, developing and implementing occupational and industrial hygiene programs, and preparing compliance reports. The role requires close collaboration with the HSE Department, operational staff, clinic and external stakeholders to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Skills

• Expertise in the development, implementation, management and maintenance of Occupational Hygiene Management program in a mining environment.
• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene principles, including Occupational Health exposure monitoring.
• Knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and standards as it pertains to the function.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for conducting risk assessments and designing mitigation strategies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
• Relevant certifications in Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Health.

Qualifications
