Job Description

The New Vehicle Sales Manager is fully responsible for managing the New Vehicle department, maximizing sales and profitability to meet targets and sales forecast commitments, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention through the execution of the sales process.

Position Overview

Specific Role Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a New Vehicle Sales Manager include the following tasks:

  • Maximize sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention to meet sales forecasts.
  • Develop the sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives.
  • Ensure optimum stock levels of vehicles on premises.
  • Control costs within the department's budget.
  • Ensure adequate product display materials are available.
  • Review all pricing policies, discounts, and trade-in deals to maintain dealership profitability.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the sales department weekly.
  • Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Meet departmental customer satisfaction and expectation targets.
  • Keep direct and indirect costs within company parameters.
  • Establish staffing levels and training to achieve sales goals.
  • Monitor all floorplan activities.
  • Maintain stock levels according to company policy.
  • Maximize sales of back-end products.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric
