A global diversified mining company seeks a Miner (Blaster) to execute blasting tasks ensuring safety and environmental control. Responsibilities include charging explosives, monitoring safety conditions, and reporting activities. Qualifications include a Grade 12 Certificate, Opencast Blasting Certificate, and 2-3 years of mining experience. A driver's license is required. Commissioning training and growth opportunities are part of the offered package.
We have an exciting position for a Miner (Blaster) who will execute all delegated blasting tasks to ensure sufficient floor stock, safe and cost-effective blasting, monitoring of the crew’s outputs on the blast bench and safe declaration of the pit before and after blasting activities.

We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.

This role is in the Mining (MIN) department at a P3 / C3 level reporting to Blasting Supervisor/Shift Supervisor.
