Digital Marketing Assistant (2 Positions Available)

Junior / Entry-Level | Full-Time | Remote (South Africa)

WebConsultants is a growing digital marketing consultancy delivering premium, results-driven digital marketing services to a select group of clients.

We are hiring two Digital Marketing Assistants to support client delivery across SEO, Google Ads, websites, email marketing, and social media. This is an entry-level role with a clear growth path for the right person.

This role is not suitable for beginners with no foundational knowledge. We will train and mentor you — but we are not starting from scratch.

What You’ll Be Doing (First 90 Days)

You will support delivery across active retainer clients and website projects, including:

  • Google Ads setup support & optimisation
  • Keyword research (SEO & paid media)
  • Writing ad copy
  • On-page SEO updates
  • Blog formatting & publishing
  • KPI reporting (GA4, Looker Studio, spreadsheets)
  • Website updates (WordPress, Divi, Elementor)
  • Social media scheduling
  • Drafting content for emails, social posts, and websites
  • Designing basic social and email graphics (Canva / Lovable)
  • Following delivery workflows in Monday.com

Client communication may be introduced gradually as capability and confidence grow.

Required Knowledge & Experience (Non-Negotiable)

You must already have entry-level knowledge or experience in most of the following:

  • SEO fundamentals & keyword research
  • Google Ads basics
  • WordPress websitesDivi and/or Elementor
  • GA4 & basic reporting
  • Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, MailerLite)
  • Social media platforms (Meta Business Suite)
  • Canva or similar design tools
  • Practical use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT)

Familiarity with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Wix, Lovable, or similar is highly beneficial.

You do not need to be an expert — but you must understand how these tools are used in real client environments.

  • Has hands‑on entry-level industry experience
  • Takes initiative and ownership
  • Cares deeply about quality and detail
  • Wants to grow into a specialist or account manager role

We are not looking for someone who does the bare minimum.

Work Setup & Hours
  • Fully remote (for now)
  • Must have own device and reliable internet
  • Working hours:
  • Monday–Friday
  • 09:00–17:00 (SAST)
  • 1‑hour daily break
  • Full‑time commitment required (no other jobs during working hours)

Occasional in‑office work may be required in the future (Stellenbosch / Somerset West).

Contract & Compensation
  • Full‑time role
  • Structure:
  • 3‑week probation
  • 3‑month contract
  • Permanent employment thereafter
  • Salary: R8,500.00 per month
  • Future potential commission opportunities per account managed
  • UIF and tax are not included initially and must be managed independently
