A leading technology company is seeking a Head of Program Management Europe. This key leadership position requires overseeing project management practices in pre-sales and delivery, ensuring successful service delivery, and achieving financial targets. Candidates should have over 12 years in telecom and systems integration, a university degree in ICT or engineering, and mandatory PMP certification. Exceptional leadership and communication skills are essential, along with a strong track record in managing senior teams in a matrixed environment.
Ericsson is looking for a Head of Program Management Europe within Service Line (SL) Business and Operations Systems (BOS) as a key leadership role responsible for establishing strong project management practices in pre-sales and delivery, ensuring solution deliverability, process adherence, realizing financial commitments and realizing customer value.
This role reports to the Head of SL BOS Delivery Excellence for MEMA and will be part of the BOS Delivery Excellence Leadership team.
Lead BOS Delivery Fulfillment practice across the Europe cluster, managing Program Directors (PD) and Project Managers (CPM).
Senior People Manager of own unit and a senior Leader across a matrixed organization to all PDs / CPMs and Contract Fulfillment Responsible (CFR).
Closely partner with the Global Delivery program office.
Set individual performance and development goals for members with regular check-ins.
Responsible for team dimensioning and cost-center responsibility to deliver over-absorption target and required utilisation / billability.
Accountable for the delivery of services (scope, cost, quality and time).
Responsible for competence management and upskilling of the community to serve business needs.
Define and drive SI and ADM execution adherence model with Service Delivery Tools, Process & Methods.
Accountable for overall resource forecasting and planning and achieving right-shoring targets.
Accountable for services financial planning, forecasting and landing in partnership with BOS CU Delivery and CSS CUs.
Drive a knowledge sharing and asset-building culture across the CPM / CFR community.
Drive live node activity (LNA) adherence in CPM community.
Instill a culture for add‑on sales and customer value maximisation.
Champion compliance and the application of detailed application guidelines.
Focus on services profitability improvement through cost control, change management, quality adherence and automation.
Revenue realisation based on committed timelines and in line with financial forecasts.
Work closely with the BOS CU Delivery Units to drive BOS services delivery.
Serve as single point of accountability / escalation for SL BOS service delivery issues.
Accountable to review and sign‑off on solution responsible and fulfilment responsible artefacts during pre‑sales.
12+ years of experience in Telecom / Systems Integration, ADM and Operations driving sophisticated programmes and operations with a strong delivery track record.
University degree in ICT / Engineering; a graduate degree such as an MBA is a plus.
Strong people‑manager track record leading senior team members and leaders.
Proven leadership experience managing senior teams and leaders across matrixed, multicultural, and geographically distributed environments.
Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional, highly matrixed and globally distributed teams.
Mandatory certifications : PMP and JS8 Programme Director GIAP certification.
In‑depth knowledge of different SDLC methodologies including Agile and waterfall approaches.
In‑depth knowledge and experience in project management and governance frameworks.
Expert level in digital transformation for OSS / BSS and surrounding domains.
Strong consultative, presentation and communication skills.
Proven track record to deliver results within a time‑sensitive and high‑pressure environment.
Strong experience in organisational and programme‑level governance.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
