Job Opportunity: Front End Loader (CAT 966)

Location: Kuruman | Reports To: Site Supervisor

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our operations team. The successful candidate will operate and maintain heavy machinery such as Front-End Loaders (FEL), specifically a CAT 966 Front End Loader, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of materials on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mining and logistics machinery to load, move, and transport materials (e.g., coal, manganese, containers).
  • Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and ensure machinery is maintained and operated safely.
  • Ensure correct stacking, weighing, and loading of containers according to operational procedures.
  • Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, or safety incidents immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and adhere to all SHEQ and OHS standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate professionally with clients.
Minimum Requirements
  • Available immediately
  • Located in Kuruman
  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
  • Valid FEL operating licence for a CAT 966
  • 1–2 years’ experience as a Machine Operator in mining, logistics, or a similar environment
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and equipment operation
  • Clear background and reference checks
