Harambee is a Youth Employment Accelerator, dedicated to solving one of South Africa’s most pressing social challenges—youth unemployment. We do this through innovation, data, and purpose‑driven technology, partnering with key stakeholders such as the Presidency of South Africa, Business Unity South Africa, and the Youth Employment Service (YES). What You’ll Do
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies aligned with Harambee’s vision, values, and goals.
  • Champion Harambee’s culture, inclusion, and diversity through high‑impact engagement initiatives and change management interventions.
  • Design and deliver workshops, interventions, and campaigns that promote the Harambee way of working.
  • Lead the administration and analysis of employee engagement surveys, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leaders, change champions, and cross‑functional teams to enhance employee experience and culture.
  • Oversee engagement resources and systems, including HRIS and Learning Management Systems.
  • Lead, coach, and develop trainers/facilitators, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with the strategic communications team to deliver impactful employee communications and engagement campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and Harambee policies.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR, with at least 3 years focusing on employee engagement and facilitation.
  • Proven experience in leading engagement initiatives and managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS or employee engagement platforms.
  • Competencies in situational awareness, organizational and influential leadership, effective communication, accountability, and partnership building.
