Our client is on the hunt for a Derivatives Trader. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior trader to join the highly-rated Derivatives Dealing Desk at the company. Key Responsibilities:

1. Support Senior Traders while learning and mastering the trading process
2. Provide clients with high-quality, asset-class-specific market intelligence
3. Focus on revenue generation by being proactive and taking initiative
4. Execute orders with accuracy and accountability
5. Produce and distribute research and market intelligence for the derivatives desk
6. Create bespoke or ongoing research products and trading ideas
7. Engage in regular client interactions and handle queries promptly
8. Participate in morning meetings and contribute to the overall desk operations

Experience:

1. 1-3 years of experience in a stockbroking or investment banking environment
2. Ideally proficient in trading/information systems
3. Strong passion for financial markets, particularly in derivatives

Qualifications:

1. A tertiary qualification, with a strong foundation in Statistics and Economics
2. Completion of relevant JSE trading exams (RPE) would be an advantage
3. Solid skills in Excel; programming knowledge is a plus
