Overview
We’re looking for a full-time German-speaking Community Manager (m/f/x) to join Creative Nest in Cape Town. You are someone who lives and breathes trends, knows every platform inside out, and naturally understands how communities talk, react, and evolve. And most importantly: you love giving brands personalities on social. You’ll be working closely with our team in Germany and supporting 20+ brands across various industries.
What You’ll Do
- Community Engagement across all channels: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and X. You’ll monitor conversations, moderate interactions, and keep communities active with the right tone of voice.
- Viral Commenting Strategies: Jump into trending moments, craft smart or witty comments, and drive organic reach through culture-led engagement.
- Uploads & Launch Support: Schedule content, manage uploads, coordinate tags and assets, QA posts, and support campaign rollouts and product launches. You understand every platform’s formats, tools, and insights in detail.
- Tool Management: Work with social tools like Sprinklr, Emplifi, Later, Creator Studio, or Business Suite for planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
- Creative Concepts: Bring proactive and reactive ideas to the table — from community-driven concepts to campaign support — and collaborate closely with creative and content teams.
- Editorial Management: Support editorial planning, coordinate with content managers, and ensure consistent storytelling across all platforms.
- Social Listening & Sentiment Tracking: Identify trends, risks, moods, and opportunities early — and share insights with the team and clients. You will be responsible for trend scouting across platforms.
- Client Collaboration: Contribute to guidelines, reporting, and strategic recommendations that strengthen each brand’s community presence.
What You Bring
- Professional experience in social media or community management (agency experience is a plus)
- Native-level German and strong English communication skills
- Deep understanding of digital culture, platform behavior, trends, and online communities
- Empathy, responsibility, and a sharp sensitivity for tone and detail
- Creativity and a social‑first mindset
- Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
