Introduction
We're expanding our training and development footprint to future-proof technician capability in South Africa's LCV and CV dealer network.
This role exists to turn complex OEM technology into simple, practical learning that drives first-time-fix, uptime, and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- A qualified technician who combines their hands-on workshop experience with strong training facilitation skills.
- A confident communicator who can inspire, instruct and assess technicians of all levels.
- Someone comfortable creating digital content, managing LMS records and supporting hybrid / EV awareness.
- Key competencies
- Comprehensive systems knowledge : powertrain, chassis, electrical, telematics, ADAS.
- Diagnostic excellence : scan-tool use, oscilloscope, wiring diagrams, fault-tree logic.
- Facilitation mastery : engaging classroom, workshop and virtual delivery.
- Curriculum design : job aids, assessments, and alignment to OEM and merSETA standards.
- Assessment practice : competency-based testing, RPL, and feedback reports.
- Digital fluency : e-learning authoring, Microsoft tools, LMS management.
- Field engagement : on-site coaching and post-training performance follow-up.
- Compliance : OHS, HV awareness, and POPIA-compliant documentation.
- You will deliver national technical training, create engaging learning content, mentor dealer technicians, track results, and support technical readiness for new models and service campaigns.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Red Seal Trade Test (Diesel / Motor Mechanic).
- N6 / National Diploma in Automotive or Mechanical.
- OEM / Brand technical training background.
- Dealership workshop experience (foreman or diagnostic level).
- Willingness to travel and valid Code B licence.
- High computer literacy.
- Nice to have: Assessor / Moderator registration, hybrid / EV safety certification, or ADAS / Telematics trainer background.
