CHARTERING MANAGER (PANAMAX / ATLANTIC) - Based in Dubai
Job summary
A leading shipping company in Singapore is looking for an Assistant Chartering Manager/Chartering Manager to manage cargo books and negotiate charters in panamax trades. The ideal candidate should have a university degree, at least 5 years in a similar role, and strong analytical and communication skills. This full-time position offers significant growth potential within the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an Operating firm.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of panamax trades.
Responsibilities
- Build the cargo book in the Atlantic and secure tonnage.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Evaluate opportunities & negotiate charter parties.
- Manage risk exposure via FFA.
- Work closely with Operations department to ensure smooth performance of voyages.
- Study/understand new trades and ports.
- Generate and submit performance reports.
