Mechanical Engineer (Tunnel / LTA)
Job summary
A leading company in tunnel construction is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot various mechanical systems. The role involves overseeing installations, supporting excavation operations, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Applicants should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience in tunneling.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience with TBMs, slurry separation, and ventilation systems in tunneling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot TBMs, pumps, compressors, and slurry systems.
- Oversee installation of tunnel ventilation and monitoring systems.
- Support TBM excavation operations and ensure face pressure stability.

- Maintain and troubleshoot TBMs, pumps, compressors, and slurry systems used in tunnel construction.
- Oversee installation and upkeep of tunnel ventilation and environmental monitoring systems.
- Support TBM excavation operations and ensure face pressure stability.
- Coordinate with site teams on mechanical interfaces and document maintenance activities.
- Ensure all mechanical systems comply with MOM, LTA, and internal safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience with TBMs, slurry separation, and ventilation systems in tunnelling or underground construction.
- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and instrumentation.
Salary: $6,000 to $8,000
