The Opportunity

Are you ready to make your mark as part of the Corporate M&A and Private Equity Practice in our Singapore office?

As an Associate, you will apply good judgment and excellent analytical skills to your work. Highly organised and self-motivated, you’ll be a team player with a strong professional presence and client focus.

Drawing on a global breadth of knowledge and experience, we support major multinationals and leading corporations, banks, private equity funds and other visionaries to execute their largest, most complex multijurisdictional transactions. Combining deep local market knowledge with specialist expertise across the full spectrum of legal areas and business sectors, we have been involved in some of the largest and most high-profile M&A transactions worldwide, and numerous market ‘firsts’.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting on leading complex multi-jurisdictional cross-border M&A and Private Equity transactions
• Coordinating the various groups working on a project and ensuring that they are all on schedule, understanding and disseminating transactional information
• Liaising with clients and stakeholders
• Working with local counsels in various jurisdictions
• Drafting and reviewing legal and technical documentation

The skills and attributes we are looking for

• Called to the Singapore bar in 2023 or 2024
• Trained with a Big Four or reputable law firm in Singapore
• Experience in M&A/Corporate transactions
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative and analytical thinker
• Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal.
• Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when working across multiple deals.
• Client service focus and commercial awareness
• Team player
• Proactive and a self-starter
• Strong judgment
