Responsibilities:
Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications in order to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and comply with project requirements and construction schedule
Liaise with design consultants on the design intent, review M&E design drawings and advise on any under provisions and over provisions
Coordinate with in-house architectural, civil and structural team to minimize discrepancies
Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission
Manage M&E subcontractors work progress, shop drawings, materials, samples, method statements submissions, and approval
Attend M&E coordination meeting, prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance
Ensure good M&E drawing management and the control of M&E documentation and filing on site
Ensure timely production and submission of M&E shop drawings, materials submission and method statements
Lead and mange M&E package delivery, construction and testing and commissioning activities
Ensure all M&E site activities are well-planned, well-coordinated and on time
Work with the planners on the project schedule
Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services
Coordinate with all M&E stakeholders to ensure work is carried out in accordance with the approved shop drawings, materials and method statements
Conduct pre-inspection with subcontractors prior to facilitation RE and RTO inspection
Carryout testing and commissioning activities at work site for both mechanical & electrical aspects
Update and follow up on variation order with client and consultant
Understanding in details of both mechanical and electrical systems
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering recognised by PE Board / BCA, or relevant M&E accreditation recognised by PE Board/BCA
At least 8 years’ experience in Building Engineering projects
Candidate with more experience will be considered for a senior role
Experience with prefabricated MEP system projects will have an added advantage
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM
Organised, meticulous with positive work attitude
Able to work independently and a team player
Good analytical, supervision and communication skills
Completed QM project and a registered Core-trade Foremen/Supervisor would be an added advantage
