Data Center Engineer
Job summary
A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a qualified IT professional to manage and troubleshoot data center operations. This role requires hands-on experience with server hardware, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Candidates should hold relevant certifications in Information Technology. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on core infrastructure management.
Qualifications
- Certified in Information Technology, Telecommunication/Computer Engineering.
- Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision.
- Familiar with setup and configuration of servers.
Responsibilities
- Setup and install network and server hardware.
- Maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure systems.
- Manage data center assets and inventories.

- Setup and install network and server hardware according to business requirements
- Maintain, diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure system health and fix any issues that arise
- Deploy and configure server operating system
- Manage data center assets and inventories
- Maintain proper documentation and reports for auditing and tracking purposes.
- Work with data center partners to understand and ensure facilities like cooling, fire suppression, UPS system, etc are working properly and in accordance with our requirements
- Trained / Certified in Information Technology, Telecommunication/Computer Engineering or related fields
- Hands‑on experience in Data Center operations, familiarity with facility management, server hardware and network equipment
- Familiar with Windows servers and operating systems
- Familiar with setup and configuration of the server
- Possess knowledge of HVAC/CRAC, UPS, Battery and Generator systems is a plus
- Work effectively with minimal direction or supervision for day-to-day tasks and communicate outcomes
- Fast-learning ability, willing to pick up new skills and technologies
