Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a CSSD Assistant to ensure surgical instruments are cleaned and prepared for use. The role involves handling and decontaminating surgical tools, adhering to strict safety protocols, and working in shifts. Ideal candidates should be comfortable with medical waste handling and capable of handling heavy equipment. This role offers an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical or cleaning environment preferred.
• Attention to detail in handling surgical instruments.
• Adherence to infection control and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle, sort, clean, and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect cleaned instruments for quality before packing.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilisation processes.

Skills

Comfortable with exposure to blood and medical waste

Able to handle and transport heavy equipment (10 - 15kg)

Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Job description

Working Arrangement:

• 6 days per week (rotational shifts, including weekends & public holidays)
• AM Shift: $12/hr | PM Shift: $14/hr
• Start: Immediate

Shift Timings:

• 7:00am – 2:30pm
• 1:30pm – 9:00pm
• 7:00am – 4:00pm
• 12:00pm – 9:00pm
• 8:00am – 3:30pm
• 12:30pm – 8:00pm

Role Overview:
The CSSD Assistant plays a key role in ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are cleaned, sterilised, and prepared for use in operating theatres and clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle, sort, clean, and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment.
• Inspect cleaned instruments for quality before packing.
• Prepare surgical instruments for sterilisation according to hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilisation processes.
• Adhere strictly to infection control and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Comfortable with exposure to blood and medical waste.
• Able to handle and transport heavy equipment. ( 10 - 15kg )
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
