Job description

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of Payments & Cards platforms (Card Issuance, Acquiring, Switching, Authorization).

• Own system design, development, and integration with payment networks (Visa, Mastercard, NPCI) and third-party partners.

• Drive architecture for high-availability, low-latency, and secure payment systems.

• Collaborate with Product, Business, Compliance, and Operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, regulatory standards, and security best practices.

• Manage technical roadmaps, delivery timelines, risks, and dependencies.

• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to engineering teams.

• Handle production issues, incident management, and performance tuning.

Requirements:

• 10 years of experience in software engineering with strong exposure to Payments / Cards domain.

• 9 years of experience with card processing systems, payment gateways, and transaction lifecycle.

• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

• Experience with ISO 8583 messaging, transaction routing, reconciliation, and settlement.

• Solid understanding of PCI-DSS, security, encryption, and fraud controls.

• Experience with databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) and messaging systems (Kafka/JMS).

• Exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
