Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Singapore seeks an experienced actuarial professional with a minimum of 3 years in the Consulting or Financial Services industry. The role includes supporting ongoing projects in M&A, valuation, and capital management, performing analytical tasks, and assisting with IFRS 17 implementation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science and possesses strong analytical skills, along with familiarity with Prophet modelling and programming languages such as R or Python. Travel may be required.

Work you will do
  • Support ongoing projects across valuation & pricing, M&A, and capital management by performing research, analysis, and preparation of project deliverables.
  • Actuarial transformation, including but not limited to target operating model design and process re‑engineering.
  • Support Prophet model development, enhancement, and optimisation tasks, including testing, documentation, and troubleshooting under senior guidance.
  • Assist with IFRS 17 implementation, including technical analysis, documentation, and coordination of workstreams.
  • Support risk management activities, including analysis, reporting, and model validation.
  • Assist in M&A‑related actuarial work, such as due‑diligence analysis, data review, and preparation of valuation inputs.
  • Support actuarial audit engagements through data checking, model verification, documentation review, and preparing working papers.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality work while growing technical and industry knowledge.
  • Assist the senior leaders in business development activities, including preparing proposals, conducting industry benchmarking, and developing presentation materials.

If you are someone with:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Actuarial Science or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Consulting Industry/ Financial Services Industry.
  • Experience with Prophet modelling and any other computing skills in R/Python/VBA/SAS/SQL is an advantage.
  • Qualified or committed to obtaining fellowship qualification of an internationally recognised actuarial organization is encouraged.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, be self‑motivated, and be able to work in stressful situations with changing priorities.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to think out‑of‑the‑box, work under pressure and tight project timelines.
  • Drive, tenacity, client focused and results oriented.
  • Proven demonstration of sound business acumen, teamwork and leadership qualities.
