A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior System Hardware Engineer to lead the hardware R&D process for complex chip-based systems. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a related field and at least 8 years of experience. Responsibilities include overseeing ASIC bring-up efforts and conducting comprehensive hardware testing, while mentoring junior engineers. Responsibilities

As a Senior System Hardware Engineer, you will lead and drive the full hardware R&D process for complex chip-based systems, including:

  • Leading ASIC bring-up efforts, including developing bring-up plans, executing validation tests, and resolving critical issues.
  • Defining and architecting innovative hardware design schemes to meet demanding product specifications.
  • Driving component selection based on in-depth knowledge of performance, reliability, cost, and supply chain considerations.
  • Overseeing schematic design and conducting thorough PCB inspections to ensure high-quality and manufacturable designs.
  • Independently planning and executing comprehensive hardware testing, debugging, and root cause analysis, leading to robust and reliable products.
  • Driving innovative hardware design initiatives to significantly enhance product functionality, performance, cost efficiency, and overall quality, mentoring junior engineers in this process.
Qualifications
Education
  • Master\'s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Min of 8 Years of Experience in the field
Technical Skills
  • Extensive and proven knowledge of high-speed signal integrity principles and best practices, with experience in simulation and measurement.
  • In-depth understanding of advanced power distribution techniques for high-performance computing systems.
  • Strong familiarity with the architecture and integration of GPU, FPGA, and X86 processors in complex systems.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in successful ASIC bring-up and comprehensive hardware validation for production-level systems.
  • Expert proficiency in using a wide range of hardware testing equipment such as advanced power analyzers, high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Tools
  • Expert proficiency in industry-standard hardware design tools such as Cadence Allegro (or equivalent), including advanced layout and simulation capabilities.
