Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Development
- Analyze customer supply chain requirements and business objectives.
- Design end-to-end supply chain solutions including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and value-added services.
- Develop optimized logistics network designs (origin, hub, destination).
- Create customized solutions for new business, tenders, and RFP/RFQ responses.
2. Customer Engagement & Consulting
- Act as a supply chain consultant to customers, identifying pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct workshops, site visits, and process mapping with customers.
- Translate customer needs into actionable solution designs and operating models.
- Support sales teams in solution presentation and value proposition articulation.
3. Costing, Pricing & Commercial Support
- Build detailed cost models and pricing structures aligned with service requirements.
- Evaluate trade-offs between cost, speed, reliability, and flexibility.
- Support commercial negotiations by explaining solution assumptions and benefits.
- Ensure solutions meet profitability and margin targets.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, IT, procurement, finance, and customer service teams.
- Align solution design with operational capabilities and system readiness.
- Coordinate with regional/global teams for multi-country or cross-border solutions.
- Support implementation and handover to operations teams.
5. Process Optimization & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance service levels.
- Apply supply chain best practices, digital tools, and automation concepts.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardization where applicable.
- Explore new logistics models, technologies, and innovative service offerings.
6. Project Management & Implementation
- Lead or support solution implementation projects from design to go-live.
- Develop implementation plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor performance post-implementation and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure smooth transition from solution design to steady-state operations.
7. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze supply chain data (volume, lead time, cost, performance).
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure solution effectiveness.
- Prepare management reports, business cases, and customer presentations.
- Use data insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
