A leading human capital consultancy based in Singapore is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead a team of supply chain associates. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in supply chain management within the electronics manufacturing industry and possess strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring timely RFQs, and managing inventory levels to support sales orders. This role offers an opportunity to drive cost reductions and improve supply chain efficiency.
To lead a team of supply chain associates
To constantly look for alternative sources and strive for cost reductions
To establish good supply chain management – maintaining a good relationship with vendors and ensure that vendors are meeting the Company’s objectives
To maintain a desired inventory level through vendor management
To ensure RFQs for new business opportunities are completed within the Company’s desired timeframe
Review high value and/or critical items and work with vendors to reduce cost without affecting quality
Ensure all POs are issued to vendors on time
Ensure vendors complete POs on time while maintaining desirable inventory level
Review with vendors on parts quality issues and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are taken by vendors
Ensure store has sufficient stocks to cover for Sales Orders
Ensure documents issued to vendors are accurate and complete
Constant and close follow up on parts required for Sales Orders completion
Review slow-moving or not-moving items in store and work with vendors to clear potential obsolete components
Generate reports for Management Review
Ensure vendors’ invoices are accurate and complete for Finance to process payment
Degree in any Business or Engineering field with at least 7 years of experience in supply chain management in an electronics manufacturing industry
Possess knowledge of supply chain management in electronics manufacturing industry
Possess forward planning and organising skills
Able to multi-task and stay committed to the job
Knowledge on Microsoft
Knowledge on ERP systems
Possess good leadership skills and a team player
