A construction management company in Singapore is seeking a Site Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with quality standards, and enforce safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have 2–10+ years of experience in construction supervision and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include coordinating with subcontractors, managing materials, and maintaining daily documentation. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work under pressure.
Supervise day-to-day construction operations. Ensure work is executed according to plans, standards, and instructions from engineers. Allocate tasks to workers and monitor productivity. Ensure proper sequence of activities to avoid delays.
Inspect work to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards. Identify defects or non-conformities and ensure timely corrections. Verify that materials and equipment used follow approved specifications.
Enforce site safety rules and ensure workers follow PPE and HSE guidelines. Conduct toolbox talks and promote a safe working environment. Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices to the HSE officer or site management.
Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other supervisors for smooth workflow. Communicate daily tasks, targets, and expectations clearly to the workforce. Assist engineers with clarifying site issues and implementing solutions.
Check availability of materials and request additional supplies when needed. Ensure proper handling, storage, and minimal wastage of materials. Monitor use of equipment and tools on-site.
Maintain a daily progress log and workforce attendance. Record measurements and assist engineers in preparing work inspection requests. Report daily progress, challenges, and manpower requirements to site management.
