Our client is a solar energy solution provider in Singapore
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse the performance of PV systems using advanced remote monitoring and analysis tools. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and datasheets, such as solar PV layouts, PV string diagrams, electrical single line diagrams, network diagrams, architectural and structural diagrams, and OEM datasheets.
- Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of solar PV systems, including PV DC design and sizing, PV string cabling sizing and layout, solar inverter power electronics and DSP integrated functionalities, distribution board functionalities, three-phase AC power flow and fault analysis, IoT edge device functionalities, network and data transmission protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to draft and deliver energy reports, analytical reports, data provisions, data visualisation provisions, documentations, and maintenance reports.
- Liaise and work with partnered integrated monitoring systems vendor to improve, maintain, and develop advanced monitoring applications and tools. Experience with servers, data pipelines, networks, and programming is preferred.
- Conduct electrical testing in accordance with SS601-1:2020, using equipment such as PV tester, Megger tester, multimeter, clamp meter, etc., with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in troubleshooting PV system faults alongside a Licensed Electrical Worker, using industry standard practices for solar and electrical maintenance (with reference to SS638:2018 and SS601-1:2020).
- Possess the ability to understand the integrated functionalities of OEM supplied electrical equipment, such as solar inverters, solar PV modules, distribution boards and isolators, breakers and switchgears, advanced electricity meters, IoT edge devices, and transformers.
- Utilise an integrated incident and work order management system to manage, track, and schedule solar PV maintenance activities. Optimise and track deployed PV assets and spare parts using an integrated asset management system.
- Work with partnered contractors and vendors to execute maintenance and rectification activities in a timely manner. Consult with partnered advisories, Professional Engineers, Qualified Persons, and OEM support services to resolve engineering and technical challenges.
- Create and maintain high standards of organisational documentations and standard operating procedures (compliant with ISO 27001).
- Work as a team with other engineers, deliver accurate and timely results, and strategically grow together as a team to achieve technical expansion and innovation goals.
- Uphold high safety standards while performing on-site activities in adherence with established safety protocols.
- Document and organise accurate records of all monitoring and maintenance activities performed on solar PV systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in solar PV system engineering, project management, or maintenance. No experience are also welcome to apply.
- A strong understanding of solar PV maintenance, monitoring, data analysis, and electrical power systems. Understanding in IoT edge device and data server systems is preferred.
- You will be required to work on-site periodically to assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of PV systems. A certificate for Work-at-Height and additional electrical or safety certifications are preferred. Transport to the site is provided.
