Job summary

A leading social service organization in Singapore is seeking a qualified candidate to manage violence-related inquiries through a helpline. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field, as well as registration with the Singapore Association of Social Workers. Candidates with experience in casework or community work will be preferred. The position entails evaluating situations, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring effective case transfers to support agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work or a relevant degree in social sciences is mandatory.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with SASW.
  • Experience in casework, counselling, or community work preferred.

  • Respond to and manage all violence-related inquiries handled through helpline.
  • Communicate with callers to evaluate the severity of their situations and identify immediate needs.
  • Collect and cross reference critical case information from diverse sources, such as educational institutions, relatives, and government records.
  • Perform comprehensive risk and safety assessments for every incoming case.
  • Establish appropriate response times and direct cases to the correct support systems.
  • Liaise with and connect relevant agencies to facilitate seamless, warm transfers of cases for uninterrupted care.
  • Collaborate with key family members to ensure effective engagement and partnership with support agencies.
Job Requirements
  • Possess Bachelor Degree In Social Work or a relevant degree in social sciences or related discipline(s)
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
  • Experience in casework, counselling, or community work preferred.
