Job summary

A recruitment consultancy is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Singapore to perform data entry for invoices and support bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and familiarity with MYOB software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required. Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate data entry for invoices, receipts, and employee expense claims
  • Support general bookkeeping tasks, including invoice tracking and petty cash management
  • Prepare basic internal financial reports
  • Liaise with external accountants or auditors during the annual financial closing process
  • Assist with maintaining full sets of accounts for three entities (one with minimal activity)
  • Utilize MYOB accounting software for day-to-day financial operations
  • Maintain organized records and ensure data accuracy at all times
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while working independently
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiently
Requirements
  • Background in accounting, with hands-on experience in data entry, bookkeeping, or general accounting tasks
  • Experience in managing full sets of accounts is preferred
  • Familiarity with MYOB accounting software is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities effectively
