About the role

The role as Senior Specialist Marketing Services reports to the Category Director - Marketing Services and will be part of the team which is responsible for the spend base, vendors and partners within the Marketing Services area, as well as the interactions with the stakeholders within Telenor Group, Telenor’s local Business Units in Asia & Europe and other clients.

What you will do
  • Contribute to the Category strategy for the Marketing Services category
  • Execute end to end procurement process in compliance with Telenor Procurement Manual and Policy
  • Perform market and industry analysis to support category strategy
  • Contribute in developing and execute on negotiation strategies towards the vendor market
  • Execute Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework to strengthen our partnership with vendors and maximize value creation
  • Contribute on the savings KPI’s as defined for the Marketing Services categories
  • Collaborate with user departments to reduce the sourcing process cycle time, improve planning, and ensure compliance with policies in order to achieve targets
  • Prepare periodic reports on sourcing activities for the category
  • Maintain an awareness of latest procurement methodology theories
  • Support the execution of category sourcing strategy
Profile

To be successful in this role it is believed that you should be a professional eager to develop yourself within strategic sourcing. You should have an academic understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, Marketing Services categories.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge and previous experience in Nordic or South East Asia telecommunication market.

  • Strong business knowledge in telecommunications landscape
  • Foresee business risks related to the role, highlighting to leadership and work towards mitigating these risks in best manner
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts in the Marketing Services industry
  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques and demand management
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing techniques
  • Strong analytical & systems thinking capabilities
  • Knowledge and experience in stakeholder and partner/supplier relationship management
  • Highly creative and innovative problem-solving mindset
  • International project and process management knowledge and experience is an added advantage
  • Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively (verbal, presentation, facilitation & listening modes of communication) across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management, able to work with a high degree of execution power and passion
  • Broad experience with common data processing tools, e.g. Excel, Power BI, Coupa, Monday.com etc.
  • Result oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration abilities
  • Demonstrate commitment, maturity, flexibility and speed in response to business and challenges

Qualifications & Experience Requirements
  • University degree, preferably within business administration, marketing, economics, finance, or procurement
  • PMP, CIPS qualification is a plus
  • At least 5-7 years of experience within Markets procurement or within the advertising industry
  • Application of procurement best practices and supplier negotiation at executive level
  • Experience from industry platforms, such as MRM platforms, DBM, GA360, Adobe, Sitecore, Adform, Adwords is a plus
  • Experience with SEO and/or ASO and SEM is a plus
