Job summary

A leading offshore solutions firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Planner with extensive planning experience in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will manage project schedules, provide critical path analysis, and oversee progress monitoring. A minimum of 8 years in planning for oil and gas or 12 years in other relevant industries is required. Strong knowledge of project management processes is essential, along with previous senior experience.

Qualifications

• 8 years of planning experience in the oil and gas industry or 12 years in other sectors with knowledge of Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of project management, risk management, and change management processes.
• Previous experience in a senior role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Master Project Schedule with necessary details using established tools.
• Provide critical path reporting and assist in planning and schedule analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and update S-Curves and KPIs for project monitoring.
• Write narrative descriptions for various reports and consolidate inputs.
• Review Level 4 schedule of contractors and progress measurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Lead Planner, prepares and maintains Master Project Schedule with the required amount of details using established tools and methodologies. Understand the technical scope of work and sequencing and duration of major activities.
• Provides reports, “look aheads”, critical path reporting, “what-if” scenarios, and other relevant tools that will assist in planning and schedule analysis.
• Develop, maintain and update S-Curves and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for various disciplines in MS Excel format for progress monitoring and reporting purposes.
• Write up narrative description for relevant reports, including weekly & monthly report to client and consolidates inputs from various disciplines for project management team’s review.
• Review and evaluate submitted Level 4 schedule of all contractors including their progress measurement system.
• Tracks and monitors the progress of the project including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and installation. Implements and monitors the schedules of each project stage and the entire project until completion and close-out.
• Identifies and leverages on opportunities to optimize resource utilization to most efficiently execute/organize the project activities.
• Ensures timings of deliverables of contractor are adequately and clearly defined and diligently tracked to prevent or minimize delay.

• 12 years of planning experience in other industries with sound knowledge of Oil & Gas process and FPSO projects
• Knowledge of project management, risk management and change management processes
• Previous working experience in a senior role is preferred
