Job description

Full time – Senior Operations Technician – Singapore, Singapore

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily large pack filling, packaging, and bulk loading operations (including road tanker loading and barge operations).
  • Act as Line Leader for filling and packing operations, ensuring the production line operates efficiently and safely.
  • Operate in both indoor and outdoor environments (70% outdoor / 30% indoor).
  • Ensure strict compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) procedures.
  • Support defect handling to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Conduct work‑at-height tasks safely as required.
  • Perform JDE inventory transactions and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Support cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation activities.
  • Prepare daily operational reports, including production volumes, chemical usage, and equipment conditions.
  • Use Microsoft Excel for logs, reports, and data tracking.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and plant safety protocols.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all operational activities align with BP/Castrol safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or relevant technical certification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Previous experience in plant operations, filling/packing, warehousing, or logistics handling preferred.
  • Experience with barge operations and tanker loading is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to safely perform work at height.
  • Familiarity with JDE ERP system and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong operational, mechanical, or production equipment handling skills.
  • Possesses a valid driving license.
  • Comfortable working predominantly outdoors (70%).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead line operations.
  • Good problem‑solving skills and ability to respond to operational issues quickly.
