Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Static & Piping)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Static & Piping disciplines to provide technical design and engineering services across major Oil & Gas projects. The role involves overseeing engineering activities from concept through FEED, detailed design, and commissioning, ensuring adherence to standards, project schedules, budgets, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical design and engineering services in Mechanical Engineering for assigned projects, ensuring quality, schedule, cost, and HSE compliance.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering activities, including site surveys, engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
  • Apply technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental, and safety policies in all engineering work.
  • Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, and standards.
  • Plan and coordinate activities of multidiscipline engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of technical services.
  • Coordinate engineering designs, develop and review multi-disciplinary work scopes, ensuring clarity and comprehensiveness.
  • Review and approve method statements from contractors, liaising to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop, update, and monitor engineering schedules and contribute to FEED/EPIC scheduling activities for effective project delivery.
  • Evaluate technical bid packages for scope compliance and review contract changes or variations.
  • Support personal and team technical development, mentoring Associate Engineers as part of structured training initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, including at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry in Static and/or Piping disciplines. Expert-level competency required in at least one discipline.
  • Experience across concept development, FEED, EPIC, and providing technical support to site/plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant engineering standards, international codes, and company standards.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in greenfield and brownfield projects, including multiple-project environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English.
