The Technology Development & Commercialisation (TD&C) team is seeking a Senior Manager to focus on the commercialisation of new healthcare‑related technologies developed under the SingHealth Duke‑NUS Academic Medical Centre. You will work with the SingHealth clinical research community to identify and commercialise intellectual property arising from a diverse range of healthcare fields. You will also be involved in the management of a growing portfolio of patent and trademark applications and in promoting the awareness and benefits of healthcare innovation development.

Responsibilities
  • Review invention disclosure submissions and liaise with the SingHealth Intellectual Property office.
  • Engage external parties to increase awareness of the institution’s capabilities, research areas, and opportunities for collaborations and research partnerships.
  • Speak at internal workshops related to intellectual property, innovation, translational development, and commercialisation.
  • Support the IP office to identify and engage with potential licensees of the institution’s intellectual property portfolio.
  • Work with stakeholders to draft and review intellectual property and commercialisation strategies of translational funding grant applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biomedical engineering or a relevant scientific/engineering field with at least eight years of relevant experience within the academic and/or industrial environment involving commercial partnerships; PhD in these fields preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and assertively influence key stakeholders, and build and support business relationships and partnerships.
  • Track record of successfully negotiating commercial contracts with industry partners.
  • Ability to assimilate and grasp technical concepts and translate these into commercially viable proposals.
  • Confident self‑starter with initiative, capable of working successfully within a team and with key stakeholders in the ecosystem.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational and administrative skills.
