Job summary

A leading aviation service provider is looking for an Experienced Manager/Senior Manager in Operational Excellence to drive business efficiency through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for implementing cost-reduction initiatives, conducting operational analyses, and fostering continuous improvement across all levels. A strong focus on data-driven decision-making and teamwork is essential. This role offers the chance to enhance service quality and develop Continuous Improvement talent within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying organization-wide Operational Excellence programs.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Management and Six Sigma preferred.

Job description

The client of mine is a reputable Conglomerate within the Aviation Industry. Through its integrated capabilities across different service line, they are currently focusing on business operational excellence, scale, and innovation. With a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement, they are seeking to hire an Experienced Manager/Senior Manager, Operational Excellence.

You are responsible witha variety of challenges that require the effective use of diverse tools, methodologies, and analytical approaches. You will be empowered to make informed decisions and drive measurable outcomes through a data-driven mindset.

Additional Responsibilities
  • To identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives in collaboration with business units and countries to improve overall profitability.
  • Apply Lean methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • To use productivity metrics and data insights to initiate and drive cost-saving programs.
  • To challenge existing practices and pursue innovative solutions by adopting a growth mindset focused on improvement rather than justification.
  • Uphold the highest standards by continuously striving for improvement and avoiding complacency with the current state.
  • Champion process excellence by streamlining workflows, optimizing resource utilization, and encouraging team-led improvements through structured problem-solving.
  • Conduct in-depth operational and data analyses to identify root causes and unlock performance improvements.
  • Make data-informed decisions to drive accountability, ownership, and measurable results—recognizing that what gets measured gets managed.
  • Design, lead, and implement a group-wide Operational Excellence program to accelerate continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategies to embed continuous improvement, best practices, and operational standards across the organization.
  • Enhance service quality to improve customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Build and develop a strong pipeline of Continuous Improvement (CI) talent across functions and regions.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Management, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and other Operational Excellence tools (Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher preferred).
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying organization-wide Operational Excellence programs.
  • Experience in processing, manufacturing, aviation, or food-catering industries is an advantage.
  • Strong team player with high initiative, excellent planning capabilities, and advanced data-driven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and engage stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and drive results.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships and influence key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly versatile, organized, and adaptable.
