Job summary

A construction services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to manage M&E works on site. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience with a degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include managing inspections, procurement, and liaising with subcontractors and authorities. This position requires a proactive approach to implement innovative M&E practices and ensure project compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in Main Contractor involving M&E works.
  • Good safety knowledge and attitude.
  • Ability to liaise with statutory authorities.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project Manager/ Project Director/ Business Unit Head
  • Manage all M&E works and issues at site in accordance to the contract drawings and specifications
  • Conduct periodic inspections for all M&E systems
  • Ensure all M&E and related works carried out by sub-contractor are planned and executed to the requirements of the project
  • Manage the procurement of equipment and labour according to the allocated budget
  • Deployment and storage of M&E materials and equipment delivered by subcontractors
  • Prepare method statement, shop drawings, installation/T&C check sheets, work progress report and other relevant documents for M&E related works with project team
  • Liaise with consultants, clients and subcontractors on M&E works progress, coordination and decisions
  • Drive the implementation of innovative M&E initiatives and practices on site to improve productivity and achieve lean outcome
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in Main Contractor involving M&E works
  • Good safety knowledge and attitude
  • Ability to liaise with statutory authorities
  • Working Days: 6 days work week
