Senior/Junior System Engineer

Job Summary

The System Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and virtualization environments. The role ensures operational system availability, performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and supports project delivery in line with service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor installation, support, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networks.
• Perform troubleshooting, fault rectification, and root cause analysis; implement proactive measures.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and manage operational activities effectively.
• Support operational systems to meet contractual SLAs.
• Provide up-to-date project documentation and reports.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues; perform standby duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience with Windows Server, Unix/Linux OS, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Good Working Knowledge of VPNs, firewall appliances, routers, switches, servers, SAN/NAS storage, and OS/network hardening.
• Experience with patch management and IT infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, databases, web/app servers.
• Entry-level candidates welcome; candidates with broader experience may be considered for senior roles.
