Our client in the financial sector is looking for a senior HR professional to take on a broad generalist position based in Singapore. This role sits at the intersection of people advisory and HR service delivery, supporting strategic HR initiatives while ensuring smooth execution of key operational processes such as payroll, benefits administration, and vendor coordination.

The successful candidate will play a central role in maintaining high-quality HR services, managing the full employee journey, and partnering with internal teams and external providers to uphold compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
  • Oversee critical HR operations such as payroll processing (including taxation components) and benefits administration for designated groups or regions.
  • Maintain productive relationships with external providers, including benefits brokers and operational vendors.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies and recommend enhancements to streamline HR processes and elevate employee support.
People & Advisory Support
  • Act as a point of contact for HR Business Partners, contributing to initiatives across performance, rewards, staffing, employee relations, mobility, and talent development.
  • Provide input and coordination on annual HR activities and cyclical processes.
Regulatory & Policy Alignment
  • Monitor compliance with employment legislation, tax rules, and statutory obligations.
  • Contribute to internal governance efforts and support audits or internal reviews when required.
Employee Journey Facilitation
  • Oversee the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, departures, and internal movements.
  • Ensure personnel records and HR systems are accurately maintained and that all regulatory checks, permits, and induction requirements are completed on time.
Projects & Programmes
  • Coordinate recurring initiatives such as background screening exercises in partnership with Compliance and third‑party vendors.
  • Drive employee‑focused programmes (e.g., wellness campaigns) and assist with broader HR transformation or system improvement projects at the local or regional level.
Requirements
  • 10–15 years of experience in a broad HR generalist role, preferably within large or multinational organisations.
  • Background in the banking or financial services sector is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of Singapore employment regulations and familiarity with regional labour practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, and core HR processes.
  • Hands‑on, proactive, and reliable, with a high level of commitment to delivering quality HR services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
