Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly independent and proactive Senior Finance Manager to be the architect of our financial strategy and the steward of our multi-entity financial health. This is not just a reporting role; it is a leadership position where you will be instrumental in planning the strategic direction and financial objectives of the company. You will own the full spectrum of finance across our group of entities, with a key responsibility for managing and optimizing our relationship with outsourced accounting functions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives on building structure, driving efficiency, and providing insights that guide executive decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategy, set objectives, and provide data-driven insights for growth, investment, and operational decisions.

  • Multi-Entity Financial Management: Oversee and consolidate the complete financial outlook for all company entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimal inter-company operations.

  • Oversight of Outsourced Finance: Act as the primary owner of the relationship with outsourced accounting providers. This includes planning their workstreams, setting clear deliverables, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality and timeliness of all outputs (AP, AR, GL, reporting).

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes. Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance and identify trends.

  • Robust Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the production of timely, accurate monthly/quarterly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and audit requirements.

  • Systems & Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across entities.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 1 year in a senior role managing the full finance function. Direct experience managing outsourced accounting teams or service providers is essential. Experience in a multi-entity or group structure is required.

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA, ACCA or equivalent is strongly preferred

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software/ERPs. Experience setting up reporting for multi-entity structures is a plus.

Core Competencies
  • Strategic & Proactive Mindset: Naturally looks ahead, anticipates needs, and initiates solutions without direction

  • Owner & Builder Mentality: Takes full ownership of the finance function and is passionate about building efficient systems and teams (both internal and external)

  • Excellent Communication & Influencing Skills: Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership

  • Strong Leadership & Vendor Management: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage deliverables through both direct and indirect (outsourced) teams
