Job summary

A leading engineering company in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee project-based financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance. Candidates should have at least 5–7 years of experience in finance and possess hands-on expertise with Tally ERP-9 and SAP. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to manage tight deadlines and extended hours as needed. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounts, compliance, and project-based environments.
  • Proven ability to independently handle accounting and compliance functions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WTX), and statutory tax submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end financial management of project-based operations.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and financial statements in compliance with IAS and IFRS.
  • Maintain HR documentation and assist in recruitment coordination.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and oversee end-to-end financial management of project-based operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, procurement coordination, and HR administration.
  2. Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions using accounting systems and prepare periodic management reports.
  3. Maintain proper records of receipts, payment vouchers, cash book, general ledger, and statutory financial registers.
  4. Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  5. Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  6. Perform accounting, reporting, and compliance functions using Tally ERP-9 and SAP (hands-on operational experience required).
  7. Maintain, safeguard, and manage all original agreements, contracts, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU).
  8. Organize, store, and maintain updated records of invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
  9. Ensure workplace safety compliance and operational support for project staff.
  10. Maintain HR documentation, staff personal files, and records in accordance with company policies and staff manual.
  11. Assist in recruitment coordination and onboarding documentation for new employees.
  12. Handle office procurement activities in line with internal procurement procedures and maintain inventory and stock records.
  13. Prepare comparative statements, evaluations, and justifications for purchases and vendor selection.
  14. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers and manage ongoing working relationships.
  15. Be available on standby and respond as required based on project operational needs, including after office hours when activated.
  16. Perform any other duties assigned by management in line with business and project requirements

Education:

  1. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting & Information Systems
  2. Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information Systems

Experience:

  1. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant working experience in finance, accounts, compliance, and project-based environments
  2. Proven ability to independently handle accounting and compliance functions with minimal supervision

Technical & Professional Skills:

  1. Strong hands-on working experience in Tally ERP-9 and SAP (mandatory)
  2. Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements under IAS / IFRS
  3. Practical knowledge of GST, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WTX) and statutory tax submissions
  4. Familiarity with basic international taxation principles

Other Requirements:

  1. Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  2. Willingness to work extended hours and be on standby as required by project operations
  3. Candidates without relevant qualifications and experience will not be considered
