Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Data Center Engineering (DCE) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. The Data Center Engineering (DCE) Senior Electrical Engineer will become part of the regional engineering team, responsible for the design development and continuous innovation of electrical system and infrastructure for our Microsoft’s industry-leading data centers in APAC that power the world's largest online services.
We are looking for engineers with hands on electrical design experience and detailed understanding of mission critical electrical systems. This position, as a Subject Matter Expert, will provide key input to other organizations and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a professional electrical engineer with experience in data center electrical designs delivery. Candidate will manage, review, analyse, and coordinate the delivery of complex data center electrical systems, power distribution systems and backup power systems. This individual will be responsible for managing consultants and partnering equipment vendors, making sure they engineer and design to Microsoft standards. The position requires travel to sites, attend factory witness tests, vendor interaction in the design process, as well as final commissioning of the installed systems.
