Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Due to the continued expansion of our operations, we are now recruiting for an Investment and Trust Accountant to assist our Client Accounting Manager in performing ongoing accounting services for several key clients.

You must keep abreast of changes to financial reporting standards that fall within your remit and assess the impact of these changes on our clients. You must also be willing to carry out special or ad hoc projects and all other general accounting duties.

Accounting

• Processing of bookkeeping entries for client accounts into the accounting system
• Reconciliation of banks, securities and loan accounts statements to the accounting system
• Ensuring all bookkeeping and reconciliations are prioritized and produced within the agreed timeframe
• Preparing monthly investment portfolio statements to be sent to clients
• Filing and archiving correspondence and reconciliations
• Liaising with external banks or parties for monthly statements or any queries
• Preparation of periodic management accounts, annual financial statements and tax schedules for Singapore investment holding companies and Trusts
• Checking invoices and arranging settlement
• Preparation of bank payments
• Payroll
• GST and GST remission
• Ensuring regular dialogue with clients to meet their deadlines
• Continuously reviewing processes to ensure optimum efficiency and recommending enhancements to controls or process efficiencies
• Preparing client accounts and reviewing with external service providers, as required

Degree and professional qualification in Accounting or Finance required (ACA, CIMA, CGMA or equivalent).

Knowledge of TrustQuay 5Series an advantage; full training will be provided.
