What you\'ll do

What you\'ll do: As a Senior Accountant based in Singapore on a six-month contract basis—with the potential for permanency—you will play an integral role within the finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, your day-to-day responsibilities will span financial analysis, forecasting, corporate finance management at both fund and entity levels, as well as hands-on involvement in statutory reporting.

  • Assist with the preparation and review of statutory, monthly, and quarterly fund-level financial reporting as well as investor reporting in accordance with accounting standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at all times.
  • Support both external and internal audit processes by liaising with auditors and preparing or reviewing audited financial statements to meet compliance requirements.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance within the finance function.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and reforecasting processes by preparing budget files, conducting detailed analysis, and supporting the overall planning cycle.
  • Prepare comprehensive analyses comparing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets against actual results to provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Review annual tax computations and filings for various entities while assisting in group-wide tax filing exercises to ensure prompt statutory compliance.
  • Work closely with tax agents to manage tax matters effectively, addressing exposures proactively and ensuring timely submission of all required documentation.
  • Assist with cash management activities including bank account administration, monitoring cash flow positions, and supporting effective cash planning initiatives.
  • Support corporate secretarial matters by liaising with agents on board resolutions and annual return filings to maintain regulatory compliance across entities.
  • Contribute to updating finance policies and procedures while monitoring adherence throughout the organisation; assist in implementing new systems or projects as needed.
What you bring

What you bring: To excel as a Senior Accountant in this contract position based in Singapore, you will bring substantial experience gained from at least ten years working within complex finance environments—ideally including exposure to private equity or real estate investment settings.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline is preferred; professional accounting certification such as CPA or ACCA (or equivalent) is essential for this position.
  • At least ten years of relevant accounting experience is required; prior exposure within private equity or real estate sectors will be considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required for effective liaison with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word are expected; familiarity with Yardi accounting software would be beneficial though not mandatory.
  • Proven track record of managing statutory financial reporting cycles accurately under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail throughout complex processes.
  • Experience supporting audit engagements—including preparation of audited financial statements—and responding constructively to auditor queries is highly valued.
  • Solid understanding of current accounting regulations coupled with the ability to adapt practices promptly as standards evolve over time.
  • Strong analytical capabilities demonstrated through successful participation in budgeting cycles, variance analysis exercises, and financial forecasting initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently yet collaboratively within diverse teams; willingness to share knowledge openly while supporting colleagues’ development is important.
