As a Security Integration Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing our integrated security and technology solutions. You will be responsible for securely integrating diverse hardware, software, and network components to create robust security systems. This role is critical in preventing unauthorised access, implementing cutting‑edge security protocols, and ensuring our solutions comply with the highest industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure Integration: Oversee the secure integration of hardware, software, and network elements to build cohesive and resilient security solutions.
- Security Protocols: Implement and enforce strong security protocols, configurations, and best practices across all integrated systems.
- System Testing: Perform comprehensive security-focused testing, including penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and RF security testing, to identify and remediate potential weaknesses.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all systems and integrations adhere to relevant regulatory frameworks and standards, such as GDPR and NIST.
- Configuration Management: Utilize configuration management tools to maintain and enforce secure settings throughout the system lifecycle.
- Vulnerability Management: Proactively manage system vulnerabilities by implementing security patches and software updates in a timely manner.
- Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and security logs to identify, analyze, and mitigate emerging security threats.
- Documentation: Develop detailed and accurate "as-built" documentation to ensure smooth system handovers to clients and internal teams.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to conduct risk assessments and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of network and systems security principles, IP/TCP protocols, and operating system hardening techniques.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience working within the systems and security integration arena.
- Hands‑on Skills: Demonstrable experience with practical security tasks such as OS tightening, system patching, and software updates.
- Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Advantageous: Relevant IT certifications in areas such as system administration, storage, networking, databases, virtualization, or cloud technologies are highly desirable.
