Security Executive
Summary of Responsibilities

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

  • Report for duty as scheduled and attend pre- and post-shift briefings.
  • Wear and operate essential company-issued equipment during duty.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Hotel Security Control Room.
  • Monitor CCTV and security systems; promptly report irregularities.
  • Manage access points and ensure only authorized entries.
  • Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house.
  • Respond promptly to all security, safety, and medical emergencies.
  • Participate in the Hotel Emergency Action Team (HEAT) / Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
  • Handle incident reporting, preliminary investigations, and documentation in line with SOPs.
  • Manage lost & found items, key control, and visitor/contractor passes.
  • Provide crowd control, lift management, and VIP escort duties as required.
  • Assist in training and guiding security officers on SOPs and hotel policies.
  • Ensure all security systems and equipment are operational; report faults promptly.
  • Liaise with management, vendors, and local authorities on security issues.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Security Manager or Director of Security.
Qualifications
  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ level
  • At least 4 years hotel’s security experience in a 4/5 star hotel
  • Former Law Enforcement Officer at Supervisory level is preferred
  • Previous administration of persons in lifesaving or property protection situations
  • Experienced in CPR, First aid, firefighting and crowd control
  • Minimum Chief Security Officer Certification required by local authorities
  • Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) Certificate
  • Conversant with the various systems in Hotel Security Room
  • Computer, Report writing, communication skills, investigation and questioning aptitude
