Overview

We are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and manage the commercial aspects of our industrial laser and automation machinery projects. The primary focus of this role is to liaise extensively with customers and all internal/external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution, successful completion, and smooth transition of complex technical projects from the sales pipeline into production and final delivery.

Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management & Sales
  • Develop and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with key customers, acting as the primary point of contact for all commercial and project‑related inquiries.
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into project requirements.
  • Manage customer expectations and ensure project deliverables meet their satisfaction.
  • Drive the sales process, including lead generation, discovery, technical presentations, proposal creation, and contract negotiation for projects involving custom automation and laser systems.
Stakeholder & Project Liaison
  • Act as the crucial link between the customer and internal project teams.
  • Facilitate regular communication and conduct project reviews with the customer post‑sale to track progress, manage expectations, and address any potential scope changes or delays.
  • Ensure smooth transition from the sales phase to the execution phase, ensuring all contractual obligations, technical specifications, and delivery timelines are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Project Manager to manage customer‑driven scope creep and negotiate necessary change orders and financial impacts.
Technical Expertise
  • Possess a basic knowledge and strong conceptual understanding of industrial laser technology and automation systems.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate laser systems and components for project requirements.
  • Manage project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition and technical capabilities of our laser and automation solutions to customers.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/mechanical, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales project management, preferably in the laser industry.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
  • Strong technical knowledge of laser systems and applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Ability to travel to India or domestically to customer site (50% of time).
  • Proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
