Established in 1982, our client is well-known for its extensive global logistics and transportation network. They specialize in freight forwarding, chartering of barges, warehousing, transport of cargoes, and packing & crating services.

Job Description

• Main contact for bulk shipping, building and maintaining relationships with shipping companies and handling quotations
• Conduct sales activities to secure new business opportunities from shippers
• Prepare quotations for import/export operations, develop new clients, and maintain relationships with existing clients
• Business trips to Japan and Southeast Asia for sales activities when required
• Other ad hoc projects/duties as assigned by the company

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in the logistics industry, shipping companies, or freight forwarders
• Practical experience in import/export operations and preparing quotations
• Proven track record in new business development and client relationship management
• Proficient in English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese‑speaking counterparts and customers
• Proactive in conducting outside sales visits
• Understanding of Japanese business etiquette and practices (experience in a Japanese company is a plus)
• Preferably experience in arranging conventional vessels and negotiating with shipping companies
• Knowledge and experience in bulk vessel business is a plus point
• Sales and customer oriented

Compensation

• Working location: 8‑10 mins walking distance to Jurong East MRT
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
