The school now has an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Coordinator to join our Safeguarding team.
About the Role: The Safeguarding Coordinator will be instrumental in fostering a proactive and positive safeguarding culture, modelling best practice and empowering staff to uphold the highest standards of care and protection.
The Safeguarding Coordinator provides expert consultation across the school to support the management of a safeguarding caseload from pre-nursery through Grade 12. The role is responsible for ensuring that children’s safety and well-being are supported holistically within the school context, while leading best practice in child protection and overseeing investigations where adults may pose a risk to children.
The role requires a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of safeguarding, including child protection, adults who may pose a risk to children, and strengthening education and community engagement. The successful candidate will be a highly effective and empathetic communicator, skilled in building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to promote student wellbeing. They must be able to identify, assess, and mitigate risk factors that may affect international students studying in Singapore.
Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, the Safeguarding Coordinator works collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across the school, including academic and operational staff, parents, and external agencies such as Child Protective Services. This role will provide visible leadership and play a pivotal part in strengthening and embedding the school’s safeguarding culture.
