Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of civil and structural drawings, at least 5 years of experience in the Singapore market, and the ability to guide teams on BIM applications. This role involves reporting to management, performing inspections, and collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve issues on-site. Qualifications

• At least 5 years of working experience in the Singapore construction sector.
• Familiar with NEA, HDB, PUB & LTA specifications.
• Experience in the earth, civil, and marine sector.

Responsibilities

• Report and take instructions from project director/senior management.
• Check construction BQ given by site QS.
• Carry out regular inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings.

Job Description:

• To report and take instruction from the project director / senior management
• To study the respective construction drawings, comment on sub-con developed shop drawings and material submissions and collate with the respective resident staffs on the site co-ordination matters for QP, PE and Consultants to resolve foreseen issues on site
• To perform ERSS calculation and submission for all tender and awarded project
• Proficient in Autodesk and guide engineers on BIM drawings on deep excavation / earth quantities
• To check construction BQ given by site QS to follow up
• To submit primavera P6 integrate with cash flow on every individual projects
• To carry out regular inspection ensuring C&S and M&E works are constructed in accordance with the approved construction drawings and specifications, and the Building Control Act, Workplace Safety and Health Act and other applied regulations

Job Requirement:

• Experience in earth, civil and marine sector
• Strong knowledge of C&S working drawings, earth interpretation and local construction practices
• Possess at least a Degree in Civil Engineering from a University recognized by Institution of Engineers Singapore / BCA
• At least 5 years’ working experience in Singapore
• Familiar with NEA, HDB, PUB & LTA specifications
