We are looking for a Research Associate in electrochemistry to integrate electrochemical system with environmental microorganisms for tackling sustainability challenges such as carbon dioxide fixation and green energy generation. The role will focus on developing microbial electrochemical systems and integrating them with engineered microbes to enable carbon-negative applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and construct electrochemical systems.
  • Integrate electrochemical systems with wild type or engineered microorganisms.
  • Perform experiments to validate the performance of microbial electrochemical systems.
  • Utilize the integrated systems for carbon dioxide fixation and the synthesis of valuable bioproducts.
  • Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and intellectual property (IP) disclosures.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory safety, documentation, and quality control.
Job Requirements
  • PhD degree in material engineering, environmental science and engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with electrochemistry and other relevant net-zero technologies.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in relevant experimental research.
  • A record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals in electrochemistry or related fields.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
