Key Responsibilities

• Expert Research: Handle complex legal, commercial, and sector-related research for fee earners and Business Development teams; provide high-quality, value-add and cost-effective information services to support legal and business research needs.
• Research and exploit internal and external information resources to answer legal and business information enquiries.
• Direct people to intranet pages, online sources, guide them to books, journals, loose-leaf and reference materials through use of the library online catalogue.
• Keep abreast of current developments in practice/sector/jurisdiction to inform users.
• Proactively deliver tailored news and business intelligence.
• Knowledge Promotion: Participate in delivery of training and ongoing promotion to new joiners and others on information services and systems.
• Provide guidance and share skills on how to conduct research to ensure best use of information sources available (to both immediate team and wider networks).
• Strategic Input: Develop subject matter and technical expertise in all aspects of business and legal research.
• Contribute to the global Information and Research strategy and best practice sharing.

Must-Have Requirements

• Languages: Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (Essential). We are seeking candidates proficient in Cantonese/Mandarin to effectively communicate with Cantonese/Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Experience: Proven track record providing research services in a professional services or legal firm.
• Qualifications: Graduate level with an Information or Library Science qualification highly preferred.
• Skills: Advanced technical proficiency, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication/customer service.
