Job summary

A construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare and manage tender documents, conduct cost estimations, and assist with building project submissions. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, with fresh graduates or those with 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred. This role demands strong communication and analytical skills under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Handle tender correspondences and addendum.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for interior design projects.
  • Prepare/ verification/ upkeep of project variation work and site instructions.
  • Assist in compilation of tender submission.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, maintain and management of tender documents comprises of BOQ, tender clarifications and unit prices etc.
  • To carry out taking off quantities; Measure of quantities from drawings.
  • Prepare proposal and quotation to customer.
  • Evaluation of price comparison and costing summary.
  • Prepare tender documents to subcontractor / vendor for quotations.
  • To source quotations for relevant trade works including price comparison and cost analysis;
  • Ability to raise tender queries/ design discrepancies timely for clarification;
  • Ensure all Suppliers equipment selection and Subcontractors quote meets tender requirements.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for interior design (ID) projects, taking into account materials, labour, equipment, and other related costs.
  • Ability to handle tender correspondences and addendum to update changes made to tender documents;
  • Technical review on the supplier/contractor quotation or proposal and makes sure that all requirements are complied.
  • Review tender addendum, corrigendum and post tender addendum drawings and documents and update costing summary with technical proposal accordingly.
  • Preparation of monthly progress claims to customer.
  • Prepare / verification / upkeep of project variation work and site instructions.
  • To assist in compilation of tender submission including tender qualification; and
  • To perform other QS duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Possess Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying;
